Poneko Studio · v0.37.1
Version history and release notes
v0.37.1 · Connections and editing
- Cut + pin supports multiple attachment boundaries, with optional connectors at each site.
- Smoothing covers every boundary, with a preview and displacement limit.
- Resizable, collapsible panels and object search.
- Painting and editing wait for confirmation before preparing the cut.
Known limits: Thick patch still requires a single boundary. Complex models may still produce ragged edges or invalid closures; inspect results in your slicer. Automated tests do not guarantee every cut.
v0.31.0 · Contours, importing and thick patches
- Surface paths favor short routes; smaller point markers and a visible brush size with a radius slider.
- Improved dense STL repair and separate 3MF component loading, without automatic polygon reduction.
- Thick patches can handle closed contours on surfaces with additional connections and reassign small cut islands.
Validated with a saved contour on a model containing about 1.9 million triangles, also at 130 mm height and 2 mm thickness, without connector extension. Minor changes may occur on the projected boundary. This does not guarantee all contours or extensions; large disconnected regions remain blocked.
v0.26.0 · Lower memory use and faster face groups
- Mesh connectivity stored in compact buffers, preserving the original triangles.
- Face groups use direct neighbor access and reuse face normals.
- Object names have their own row, with larger touch actions.
Local tests with Aparecidinha and Miranha produced exactly the same groups as before. Measured gains concern these stages, not the complete cutting operation, and vary by device and model.
v0.25.0 · Processing and thick patches
- Animated activity indicator, current stage and cancellation of background calculations.
- Background 3MF and STL reading; original polygons remain the default.
- Thick Patch previews reused when applying, with a contextual edit, confirm and cancel menu.
- Patches without extensions stay within existing material. Enclosed cavities are no longer mistaken for detached fragments.
- Tiny numerical residues are handled within precision limits without simplifying the remaining surface.
Also checked with the Aparecidinha model, containing over 2 million triangles. Connectors that cross walls remain blocked: adjust dimensions or disable the extension. Processing time depends on the model and device.
What changed in Studio, in plain language.
v0.24.0 · October 11, 2026
- Paint a region directly, or add to and erase from selected face groups, without regenerating groups.
- Progressive brush feedback while dragging.
- Pin toolbar with movement, rotation, scale, side switching, apply and remove; only the selected gizmo is shown.
- Panel layout fixes and explicit Save project action in the header.
- Local path searches and reuse of paths and projected split geometry between previews, preserving model resolution.
- Bilingual About, Terms, Privacy and release notes, plus search metadata.
Operation times still depend on the file and device.
v0.23 · October 11, 2026
Improved numerical joining on tiny triangles, removed degenerate subdivisions, and adjusted internal closure for recessed surfaces. Tools gained a floating window and individual icons.
v0.22 · October 11, 2026
Reorganized tools and file controls, detachable Objects window and language flags.
