Split 3D models and create connectors in your browser

Poneko Studio is Poneko 3D's editor for splitting models into parts and preparing connectors for FDM or resin printing.

Define the cut

Use points, freehand strokes, lines, circles or face groups. Paint to add to or subtract from the selected region, then adjust its boundary.

Prepare connectors

Choose rectangular, cylindrical or hexagonal pins. Adjust position, dimensions and clearance, or create a thick part from a selected region.

Keep working on each part

Cut the resulting objects again, switch between assembled and exploded views, and export the parts in their assembly positions.

Getting started

  1. Import OBJ, STL, 3MF or FBX. Polygon reduction is optional.
  2. Select the part, draw or paint a region and inspect the preview.
  3. Adjust the connector, create the parts and check the result in your slicer.

Your geometry is processed in your browser

The normal import and editing workflow does not upload your 3D files to a server. Authentication, hosting and resource loading use external services described in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Blender or another installed program?

No. The editor uses a browser with WebGL and WebAssembly. Working with large models depends on your device's memory and performance.

Does the app automatically reduce polygon counts?

Reduction is an import option and starts disabled. Repairs and cuts can add or rearrange triangles in affected areas.

Can I cut a part again?

Yes. Select it in Objects and make another cut. Save an editable project to continue later.

Is the exported file ready to print?

Always check scale, wall thickness, closed surfaces and clearances in your slicer. Complex or defective geometry can require additional adjustments.
